Senior Visual Designer - Bellevue, WA

Qualifying for this position relies on real world appliedexperience and therefore you must provide an online portfolio that demonstrates;

* Define the visual design aesthetics, principles and language fora new search based product line.

* Help manage external contractors for a series of new visualdesigns.

* Identify other visual user interface requirements and definedesign approach.

* Create conceptual designs and suggest product direction based onfield research and visual requirements.

* Create guidelines and design language for communications thatexpress a new brand.

* Develop visual design prototypes ranging from comps tointeractive mock-ups.

* Develop visual interface specifications.

* Work with interaction designers to integrate visual andinteraction design.

* Work with usability leads to design and observe usabilitystudies.

* Work closely with interaction designers, marketing and engineersin an Agile (scrum) development process to deliver products.Required Skills, Education & Experience:

* 5+ years of web visual design experience, with 3 or more of thosespent on product user interfaces.

* Bachelors or Master's degree in Graphic Design, IndustrialDesign, Communication Arts, Fine Art or related field.

* Self-starter that is able to work both independently as well ascollaboratively with cross-functional teams.

* A strong portfolio of work with a mix of online interfaces,websites, and online branding.

* Commanding knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks,InDesign among others

* Fluent proficiency in Flash- proficiency in Action Scripting abig plus

* Working knowledge of Silverlight a big plus.

* Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologiessuch as HTML, XML, JavaScript, Flash, CSS, etc.

* Experience in conceptualizing promotional creative

* Strong layout, typography, color theory, and interaction designskills
